Discovering More Time
I seem to be hearing and saying a common theme lately. "If I only had
more time." "I just don't have enough time." " I wish there were a couple
more hours in each day." "My to do list is so long, when will I have time
to complete everything."
Have you said or thought these comments lately? It is so easy to get into
the trap of not thinking you have enough time. The truth is we all have
the same amount of time, some of us just choose to spend
it differently. We choose to check our email numeruous
times a day, we choose to watch the television, we
choose to say yes to activites and people--when we really
should be saying NO, we choose to overbook ourselves, we
choose to have the perfect lawn/garden----each of us is
responsible for our OWN time.
This month join me in practicing these actions:
-Changing my mindset about time and realize I have enough time, I just
need to plan it better
-Creating a weekly schedule, making small modifications when needed
-Asking for help and trusting that the other person will follow through
-Check my email once in the morning and evening
-Limit my time watching the television and being on the Internet to one
hour a day (or a time frame that is more realistic)
-Track how I am spending my time for 3 days, analyze my data and make
changes accordingly
-Don't blame anyone else for how I spend MY time
Next Month's Focus: The Importance of
Community
Do you know your neighbors? Have you ever had them over for dinner? Are
you regularily involved in community service projects and organizations?
Next month we will dive into the importance of having and being in
communion with other people. (It can be done, even with very busy lives.)
Feel free to share with me your thoughts on knowing your neighbors and
taking part in community. (

Garden of Life: Antibiotics
(Excerpts taken from The Antibiotic Dilemma by Paul A. Goldberg)
Our bodies were created to come in contact with bacteria and other
microbes. Proper nutrition, sleep, sunlight, exercise, and
bacteria/microbes help our immune system to mature and strengthen.
However, children are often prescribed antibiotics for the slightest
stuffy nose or cold; therfore, their little immune systems don't develop
normal immune intolerance. According to Goldberg, 7 out of 10 office
visits by a child to a medical physician results in the prescribing of
an antibiotic agent.
Antibiotics directly impact the microflora in a person's digestive
tract, which helps to maintain proper health. As a person is perscribed multiple
antibiotics, additional health concerns start to pop up and are
therefore treated by a different antibiotic. This begins a
vicious cycle and the actual cause of the health concern is not
addressed.
Instead of taking an antibiotic to combat your health problems try to find
the root of them--this may take time and patience. Find the root of the
problem is aways more benefical than just treating the symptoms.

loss and exercise goals by taking this quick survey. Thanks
