The Controversy of Coconut Oil
 
One article says coconut oil is good for you but another states that it is bad.
 
Truth about coconut oil:
-Purchase only extra-virgin coconut oil
-Coconut oil contains healthy saturated fats unlike polyunsaturated and hydrogenated fats (check your labels for these ingredients)
-can tolerate extreme high heat, unlike vegetable oils
-can be used in cooking, baking, and in smoothies
-it doesn't elevate LDL cholesterol
-reduces digestive disorders, supports overall immune functions, helps prevent bacterial, viral, and fungal infections
-great for people who suffer from candida yeast infections
-helps balance the thyroid and improve metabolic function
 
*Coconut can be substituted for butter or shortening in recipes

It seems that my lesson in life right now is patience.  Even though it is very difficult, I have found it provides a wonderful opportunity to see things you may normally miss.  Patience allows you to see each new flower, each smile, each blessing, and each gift in life.  Each day try not to miss the little things that surround.
Clearing Space for Spring
Take the Mini Space Clearing Test:
  1. Do I use it?
  2. Do I need it?
  3. Does it bring joy into my life?
  4. Is it broken or damaged?
  5. If lost in a fire would I replace it?
  6. If called to move 5 times in one year, would I want to pack and move it?
  7. Is to attached with negative thoughts, emotions, or memories?
  8. Would my heir find this valuable to keep?

If you answered "NO" to any of these questions, give it away, have a garage sale, or donate it.

This month join me in practicing these actions:
-Go through one room at a time
-Create Donate, Sell, and Keep piles as you go through each room
-Break your emotional connection with the possession, but don't suppress them
-Celebrate after each cleaned area

Pose Breakdown
Stand in mountain (good posture) with your feet hip distance apart and your 2nd toe facing towards the front of your mat.  Transfer your weight to your right foot.  Place the sole of your left foot on the inside of your right leg, just above the ankle.  The toes of your left foot will face towards the floor.  Slowly draw your left foot upward until it is resting as high on your right leg as is comfortable.  Draw your hands into prayer at your heart or above your head.  Lengthen your spine.  Find a focal point.  Switch sides.
Tips
  • Try not to grip the mat with your toes
  • Practice lifting all 10 toes off the mat and rooting down through the bottoms of your feet
  • Rotate your inner thighs back
  • Keep your shoulders soft
  • Do not rest your bent knee on the opposite knee
