Achieving New Year's Resolutions
Did you create a New Year's Resolution? Are you still
working towards your resolution? A few years ago, I
threw New Year's Resolutions out the door because
they were just too difficult to achieve. I often
quiet them after a week.
Today, I view New Year's Resolutions in a different
light because I've discovered some methods for
achieving success instead of failure.
How to Achieve SUCCESS:
- Create goals you are 70% sure you will be able to
achieve
- Identify any distractions, energy drains, or
circumstances that pull you away from success
- Establish methods to overcome these distractions
and drains
- Share your resolutions with someone who will
keep you accountable, like a spouse, friend, or
coach
- Take time to pray about your resolutions
- If you find yourself struggling to achieve your
resolutions, don't give up, re-evaluate your
resolutions and make modifications
- Be realistic
